Every group has its little traditions. Here are a few of ours.
Monthly drawings
Our sponsors are very generous and provide most of the goodies for monthly drawings during the first meeting each month. To be eligible to win, you must wear your quilted name tag. No name tag, no prizes! Most of us attach a neck ribbon to ours. A simple block will work or be as creative as you like. Drawings are held the first meeting each month. You can win a prize once each meeting, except for Cynthia's Sewing Machine Center. Their contribution is for a machine service gift certificate. It can only be won once a year.
Membership
Joining is easy - give or mail your completed membership form, along with a check made out to MMQ, to our treasurer, Karen Padrick. To be included in the roster for the new year, turn in your form by the end of January. If you join later in a year, you'll be added to the roster then. An up to date version is found on the Roster page of this website. It's accessible only by using a special email address & password. After you have joined, that information will be given to you.
Care and Share
In addition to our annual Service Project, we support Care and Share on an ongoing basis. This organization provides food and other necessities to local families in need. In your birthday month, please bring 12 rolls of toilet paper to the first Tuesday meeting that we hold. This is the only place and time your donations can be left off.
